In Nigeria, by virtue of Legal Practitioners Act, CAP. 207, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 1990 (as re-enacted by Legal Practitioners Act, CAP. L11, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004), the Legal Profession or Legal Practice is fused in the sense that a Solicitor is also a Barrister. This is unlike what obtains in the United Kingdom where both are separated. Olaniyi Arije & Co is a Law Office of repute with highly proficient and gifted Legal Practitioners & Consultants. Our Law Firm, at present, have the highly competent and committed Solicitors, Advocates and Consultants who have the requisite expertise in all the major fields of Legal Practice.

In addition to this, we have a group of specialized Consultants in Landed Property and Corporate Affairs matters and as well as in other related fields of endeavour all of whom are committed to service of excellence with distinction.

Olaniyi Ezekiel Arije

The Principal and Managing Partner of the firm, holds Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) in World History-University of Lagos); Masters’ Degree in International Law and Diplomacy (MILD-University of Lagos); Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons.-Ogun State University-now Olabisi Onabanjo University) and Barrister-At-Law (B.L- Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island , Lagos). He is a legal practitioner, an administrator, a teacher of International Law and a consultant with versatile experience particularly in International Law and Jurisprudence. He is the pioneer Director, Legal Services of the foremost and prestigious private university in Nigeria-Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State and also the pioneer Course Coordinator and Adviser of International Law and Diplomacy Programme at the same university. Mr. Arije had occupied positions of chairmanship, vice-chairmanship and membership of Committees, panels and other various related bodies and recipient of Awards. He has been, inter alia, a member of Nigerian Bar Association (N.B.A.) Ikeja Branch, Lagos State, Nigeria; member, Adventist Lawyers Association with Headquarters at Silver Spring, Maryland, U.S.A; member, International Bar Association; member, Board of Trustees of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria and Personal Legal Consultants to renowned Nigerians and Non-Nigerians both within and outside Nigeria.

Mr. Arije has attended and actively participated in National and International meetings/conferences including Europe, America, Canada and South Africa. He had some considerable research works to his credit and he is currently a PhD research scholar of a foreign university by distance learning.

Alala George Eze, Esq

Mr. Eze George Alala holds Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons- Abia State University); Barrister –At-Law (B.L-Nigerian Law School, Abuja) and Master’s Degree in Law (LLM- Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Lagos). He joined the firm in 2004 and has since been a very reliable counsel in the firm. He has Company and Commercial practice as his area of special interest.

Mr. Alala is a young dynamic and enthusiastic intellectual, having flare for research and litigation. His audacity in legal practice dates back to his school days when he was an active participant in avalanche of activities and theses include Students Leadership Politics and Representations.

Mr. Alala, inter alia was Legal Assistant on attachment, Federal Ministry of Justice, Marina – Lagos and Legal Assistant, Ministry of Justice, Legal Drafting Department, Gusua – Zamfara State. His research works includes “The Sales Tax Law of Lagos State vis-à-vis 1999 Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria”, “ Nature, Use and Admissibility of Survey Plans on land Matters in Nigeria”(Unpublished) , “Law and Political transformation in Nigeria, Babaginda’s Years in perspective”(Unpublished)

Mr. Alala is a young man of candour, hard work and a goal getter. He posses both team playing and leadership skills and he is unreservedly committed to whatever task that is committed into his hands.

Paul Chibuke Ananaba (SAN)

Mr. Paul Chibuke Ananaba, the Principal Associate of the firm holds Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons.- Imo State University);Barrister-At-Law (B.L- Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island , Lagos) and Masters in Law (LLM-Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Lagos) with Specialization in Legislative Drafting, Constitutional Interpretation and Immigration Law Practice. He is a Notary Public and is registered with Securities and Exchange Commission as a Capital Market Consultant. He is the author of two (2) outstanding scholarly works, to wit:
The Fundamental Right to Religion (Seralfred Publishers, 1999) Lagos 204 pages and Principle of Nigerian Law (Agbo Areo Publishers, 2001) Ibadan, 225 pages.

Mr. Ananaba, inter alia, is a member of Nigerian Bar Association (N.B.A.) Ikeja Branch, Lagos State, Nigeria; member Board of Trustees Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria; member, International Bar Association; member, Governing Council Institute of Industrial Security and Safety of Nigeria; member, Institute of Manpower Development and Industrial Relations; fellow Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London; fellow, Strategic Finance & Administrative Institute and a fellow Institute of Industrial Security and safety of Nigeria. He has attended several National and International Seminars and Workshops as Guest Lecturer, Speaker and Facilitator.

Dayo Olawole Oyewole

Mr. Dayo Olawole Oyewole, holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Economics) (1988) and Masters of Science also in Economics (2005) both from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria Mr. Oyewole. has twenty years of work experience. Inter, alia, he was a lecturer at Houdegbe North America University. He was once the Secretary of Professional Import Duty Administrators (PIDA). He had been the managing partner of Optimal Consultancy Limited, a company that specializes in all corporate affairs matters. Mr. Oyewole is witty, highly resourceful and intelligent. His power of research and reading is impeccable. He has penchant for details and accuracy, completing assignment with required finesse and credibility; he has an incredible passion for timeliness and he is result-oriented. Besides, he is a team player per excellence.

Mr. Oyewole coordinates the Corporate Affairs Section of the Firm and these include incorporation/registration of all types of companies, businesses, non-profit making institutions and other allied matters as provided for under the Company and Allied Matters Act, CAP. 59, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 1990 (as re-enacted by Company and Allied Matters Act, CAP. C20, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004)
